Whether you are familiar with Islay or contemplating a first visit, Cairn Cottage is ideally located to explore the island. The property was originally built in the 19th century as a coach house and stables and still retains a personal and homely feel. With fabulous views overlooking Carraig Fhada lighthouse, the house is just a five to ten minute walk from the sandy beach at Kilnaughton Bay.

Available for rent all year round, Cairn Cottage is well equipped and ideally suited for families and large groups. Pets are permitted by prior agreement.

From the enclosed south facing front garden and all front facing windows is the magnificent view over Kilnaughton Bay. The rear of the property has hard standing for 3-4 cars with a secluded lawn area, beyond which is a partially wooded area within the property's boundary.

Cairn Cottage is located on the southern side of the island, 5 minutes drive from Port Ellen, 10 minutes from Islay Airport and 25 minutes from Bowmore. If you catch the Port Ellen ferry then you'll be inside the house within 10 minutes with your feet up admiring the views.
